Srinivas Narayanan is Vice President of Engineering at OpenAI and serves as Chief Technology Officer for B2B Applications. In this role, he leads the engineering teams responsible for translating OpenAI’s frontier research into widely used products, including ChatGPT and the Developer API. He also oversees the large-scale infrastructure systems that power these platforms, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and global accessibility for millions of users and businesses.
Prior to joining OpenAI, Srinivas held senior engineering leadership roles at Meta during a period of significant global expansion. As Vice President of Engineering, he led the AI Applied Research & Engineering Group, contributing to the development and deployment of large-scale technologies and products used by billions of people worldwide.
Earlier in his career, he was a founding member of startups including Viralizr and Tavant, and worked as part of the database systems research group at IBM Research, Almaden. With deep expertise spanning artificial intelligence, large-scale systems, and product engineering, Srinivas brings a strong track record of building impactful technology platforms at global scale.
